Jeff grew up in Chicago, Illinois, raised in a military home by parents who were both Army Master Sergeants, and was educated at the University of Illinois in Chicago, where he received a B.B.A. (Bachelors of Business Administration) degree in Finance with a minor in Economics. Graduating, his college career was hallmarked with six (6) different majors, maintaining a 4.75 grade average (on a 5 point system) over a six (6) year period.

He received his MBA in Finance and Statistics from the Executive 190 Program at the University of Chicago.

Jeff worked all through prep school, college and graduate school, often in his father’s construction business and in his own entrepreneurial endeavors. During prep school, he was very successful in Junior Achievement -- his two companies set sales and profit records that to this day have not been broken. He later went on to be National Chairman of Junior Achievement.

In his last year of college, he accepted a position with the world’s largest insurance brokerage as a Director of Special Programs. It was his responsibility to establish that company’s special insurance programs for select market segments. During his stay, he implemented the first deaf-driver insurance program, the first insurance program for franchise restaurants and the first co-operative health insurance program for low health-risk groups. Two years later, Jeff secured a position with the sixth largest financial conglomerate in the United States. He began that position as the Organizational Development Officer and Long Range Planner. He implemented a computer forecasting model to predict the company’s financial condition thirteen months into the future with less than + 1.5 percent error. He also engaged in turning-around three subsidiary corporations and several projects that were failing. Jeff also implemented the first “Corporate Social Responsibility Program,” which was later adopted by most of the “Fortune 100” corporations.

He left that position three years later to accept an offer with a major financial conglomerate in Cincinnati, Ohio. As an officer position, he reported to the Chairman of the Board of that $23 billion corporation, and he became one of the youngest corporate officers.

During this time, Jeff managed mergers and acquisitions, and was responsible for reorganizing the entire company (36 subsidiaries) into profit centers. This increased the profitability of the corporation by twenty-seven percent. He also made the recommendation to take that public corporation private with a leveraged buyout. This was done several years later, and was the first of its kind in the U.S.

His career in Cincinnati spanned three years. He then resigned and started his own consulting company, which specialized in “turn-arounds” and start-ups. This consulting company has done over two hundred engagements with only two (2) failed assignments. These engagements involved over $63 billion in revenues and more than eighty-eight (88) acquisitions and mergers.

During the development of that career, Jeff also became a successful entrepreneur owning several companies. Today, he owns an International distribution and Internet business. He was a key “facilitator” in Economic Development Council for Seattle, Sacramento, Cincinnati and Buffalo.

He currently is a Director of a company, which invented the closest thing to a “silver bullet” for IP security and Anti-Piracy Software for the Entertainment and Gaming Industry.. In conjunction with his consulting practice, he has done hundreds of business presentations, and has spoken at business seminars in various U.S. locations to thousands of businessmen and women over the last twenty (20) years. His community activities have included Special Education Programs for Literacy, Big Brother Program, Substance Abuse Programs, Boy Scouts of America, and Corporate Citizenship. He is also quite active in computer security and stopping telephone fraud. In 1999, the fraud system he designed helped catch the “Railway Serial Killer”, helped return a kidnapped 6-year girl, and is helping hundreds of telecom companies reduce losses due to Fraud, ID Theft and Bad Debt.

He resides in Montana with his wife, Lee, who is herself a successful businesswoman, actress, playwright, screenwriter, novelist and entrepreneur.
